The game becomes more difficult after defeating Mom five times, and for the truly skilled there is a hard mode. There are also unlockable items, levels, and characters, like Eve, whose Whore of Babylon form has a high risk/high reward theme. The challenges are playthroughs with specific variables added for an additional level of difficulty, such as not being able to see the health bar. In addition to the huge pile of content in the main game, 'Rebirth' also features a challenge mode. Load up a new seed and swing for the fences. Death is frequent and intended, so don’t be discouraged when it happens. The exploration aspect of the game is one of its most appealing qualities, and the main reason why I don’t mind dying (too much). Pausing the game reveals the current playthrough’s seed, which can be entered to receive the same dungeon again.

The enemies themselves are disturbing - blood and feces are used as weapons, fetus-like creatures are common (and implied to be Isaac’s miscarried siblings), and enemies emit distorted baby cries. Between levels, quick scenes are shown of Isaac’s dreams, which usually involve something horrible happening to him. Its treatment of Christianity was responsible for Nintendo’s initial aversion to the game (they have since relented, and it’s now available on 3DS and Wii U) and the reaction of certifying bodies like that of Germany, which referred to it as "blasphemous". It explores many taboo subjects from Christian scripture and mythology as well as childbirth and childhood, often in an ambiguous fashion (except for the brief cutscene in the prologue). 'The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth' is creepy, provocative, and unsettling. One room on each floor contains a boss, which awards Isaac with items upon defeat and also opens the door to the next level down. Each floor of the dungeon has a set of rooms for Isaac to explore, filled with monsters, item chests, tarot cards, shops, and other curiosities. It hearkens back to ancient dungeon crawlers like 'The Legend of Zelda' and 'The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past'. The game controls like a twin-stick shooter, with Isaac’s movement determined by the left stick and his tear projectiles fired with the right (the face buttons can also be used to shoot the tears). Once in the basement, Isaac is temporarily safe from Mom, but soon discovers that the underground has a life of its own. Previously Mom had taken away all of Isaac’s toys and coloring books, and then locked him in a bare room, all because of God’s commands. The titular character is a naked, crying little boy who descends into the basement of his house after his mother has determined that the best way to serve her God is to slay her son, much like the actual binding of Isaac detailed in the biblical book of Genesis. But I don't like either item, and I doubt the odds are good at getting both.'The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth' is a top-down roguelike dungeon crawler. This item works well with Tractor Beam, I guess. It makes it so you can't ever hit anything with both tears again. I have no idea why you would want this item. The Wiz makes to start to shoot tears diagonally just like while under the effects of a R U a Wizard pill. But I rather not have to make such huge adjustments to how I aim tears. I suppose with enough tears and range Tiny Planet might be a good item. I just can't get used to tears floating around you. Your tears now float around you like satellites orbiting a planet. The game has also been well received by players, The Binding of Isaac has with 96 of the user reviews on Steam being positive for The Binding of Isaac and 97 for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth as of October. Tiny Planet gives tear height and makes tears spectral. The games received multiple awards, including the PlayStation 2014 Best PS Vita Game of the Year Gold Award, which was awarded to Rebirth. But often, late in the game I refuse to pick up the item if I like my damage. I might risk picking up Soy Milk early game. Also, the item is worse to pick up if you already have good tears. Soy Milk will make you seem weaker than you are. But in most cases, you will do tiny damage.
You need items like Apple!, Tough Love, Chemical Peel, Blot Clot, Holy Light, etc.
